I posted the first article on nomunication.jp on November 7, 2016. In it, I reported on the 16th Annual Yokohama Cocktail Cruise. Today marks five years of nomunication.jp!
I launched this site to share the joy of drinking in Tokyo and add to the conversation about every alcohol category. Over the past five years, the focus has been tightened to the distilled stuff: Japanese whisky & spirits.725 posts and 62 pages later, I’ve hopefully been accomplishing those goals, at least to some extent. If you’re reading this article, you are one of the people that helped make it happen. Thank you!
And yes, nomunication.jp is a website. It’s not only a social media account or channel (though I do use those). That’s becoming increasingly important these days. If you’re under 30, you may not have heard of RSS, but you can use it to follow this site without any algorithms getting in the way. Search for nomunication.jp in Feedly. You can also follow the site via WordPress or email (see the Nomunicate Via Email box in the sidebar).
Apart from this site’s consumer audience, I’ve been receiving a growing number of business inquiries from its professional audience. In this space, I offer a range of services like market trend insights, introductions for partnerships, advice, and translation/interpretation. If this kind of thing interests you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. In the future, I also plan to offer services to customers inside Japan who are looking to build their profiles overseas.
I have some unique plans to celebrate this fifth anniversary, so please stay tuned.
Thanks for sticking with us, and here’s to the next five years of helping the world uncover what really makes Japan’s alcohol culture unique and unforgettable. Kampai!
