The fifth entry in the Moon Glow series from Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery is “Moon Glow Half Moon 2019,” partially featuring Japanese whisky distilled in 1960.
Of course that 1960 whisky is again only partially featured — perhaps it’s only a couple ml per bottle. It’s blended with a variety of (imported) whiskies that’s are at least 10 years old, then all married in a PX cask for an undisclosed length of time.
This bottle was available for sampling at this past weekend’s Whisky Festival in Tokyo 2019 — perhaps some of you have already tried it?
Available now from Amazon JP for 14,000 yen.
