Gin Live Tokyo 2018 is happening here in Tokyo on July 28, the first such event in the world, and it will run from 12-6PM at Akihabara’s Akiba Square. At the moment I count 15 booths, with domestic players like Kyoto Distillery, Suntory, and Nakano BC all slated to make a showing. It’s a quite affordable 2400 yen for advance tickets, or 2800 yen at the door. Like any event of this kind, there should be plenty of gins and cocktails available for sampling.
The event is being put on by Drinks Media Japan, of Whisky Magazine Japan fame and Whisky Live Tokyo fame. A pivot to gin is of course very welcome, though I would say it will be hard to beat last year’s Gin-Posium Japan!
