The global results of the World Whiskies Awards 2018 are now in, and Japan has cleaned up!
The following three whiskies have won World’s Best titles:
- Hakushu 25: World’s Best Single Malt
- Taketsuru 17: World’s Best Blended Malt
- Ichiro’s Malt & Grain Limited Edition: World’s Best Blended Limited Release
Needless to say this is an amazing showing from Japan, and yet another testament to the level of craftsmanship and expertise demonstrated by Japanese whisky distillers.
Japanese whiskies took home the global awards for 3 of the 6 categories that were submitted. And you thought Japanese whisky was hard to find now…
Congratulations to the winners!
