Eigashima Distillery’s latest release is the Akashi Oloroso Sherry Cask 3yo 1st Fill, a single malt whisky out of the small distillery that sits just beside the Seto Inland Sea. Unlike the previous Akashi Oloroso Sherry Cask 5yo release, which was just finished in Oloroso casks after spending 5 years in virgin oak, this 3yo edition instead spent the entire 3 years and 6 months in a first-fill Oloroso cask. Non-chill filtered, non-colored, and bottled at 50% abv in 500ml. 5940 yen including tax.
