Mars Distillery has just announced the third iteration in their “Nature of Shinshu” series, dubbed Shinanotanpopo (Shinano Dandelion).
This latest release, of which only 11,000 bottles will be available, is a vatting of mostly new-cask American white oak bourbon barrel aged 2014 malt and 20+ year aged malt. It’s bottled at 52% abv at 700ml, available via Hombo Shuzo’s webstore for 8964 yen including tax. Like all Japanese single malts, move quickly if you want to get a bottle!
