Shuiku no Kai is a fairly new group and website (about a year old) that was established to spread knowledge about all aspects of drinking, and help the public have a better drinking life. In a way their mission is similar to that of this very site! But in any case, they’re holding a launch party on June 25th.
Details about the event:
- June 25th, 1PM-5PM at Hotel Grand Palace (“Shiki” Event Room, B1)
- Tickets are 5000 yen for entry + 3 special tasting tickets, or 10000 yen for entry + 3 special tickets + the limited edition bottling (Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu 2008 Malt Dream Cask)
- Tickets are only available until Monday, May 19 using the above links. Sounds like tickets won’t be sold at the door!
- They will have three “workshops” (tasting booths) setup for Islay malts, brandy, and rum
There unfortunately aren’t many other details available, such as if there will be any seminars or shows of any kind. But who knows, maybe it will be great! I’ve already got my ticket, so expect to see an event report shortly.
